Since 2001, the Gupta Foundation Trust has incorporated a unique initiative into its award ceremony cycle. Every other year, the foundation dedicates an equivalent or greater amount of the award funds to support vital projects in Eluru, Mr. Gupta's birthplace. These projects focus on providing basic facilities to institutions and creating initiatives that enhance the health and well-being of the community of Eluru. As a result, the award ceremony and social service activities alternate annually.
Since the inception of this decision, the Gupta Foundation has been contributing to several initiatives such as conducting camps to create public awareness regarding the prevalence of Thalassemia (an inherited blood disorder), donating a large sum to Sankara Netralaya, Chennai to strengthen them financially and enable them to provide free and low-cost treatments to the underprivileged and providing financial assistance for the construction of a single floor in the Parivarthan School (Deaf & Dumb) in Dondapadu, Eluru.
The Foundation supported the Abhilasha Foundation, an organisation under the Chairmanship of The District Collector of West Godavari District, by donating Rs. 3,00,000 (Three Lakh Rupees) for providing artificial limbs to the differently abled people. The Foundation has also donated US$ 25,000 to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International in support of The Rotary Foundation Programs and its humanitarian efforts throughout the world.
