Sandalwood Oil
The essence of sandalwood lies within its heartwood. Over time, precious essential oil accumulates in the roots and heartwood, taking at least 15-20 years to develop. A sandalwood tree reaches full maturity between 60 and 80 years old. During this process, a dark core of heartwood forms, encased by a lighter outer sapwood.
The sandalwood trees are never felled. Instead, they are carefully uprooted during the rainy season when the roots are at their richest in terms of the precious oil. This meticulous approach ensures the longevity of sandalwood resources while yielding the highest quality oil.
