In the year 1994 Sri. M.M. Gupta, Founder Gupta Foundation Instituted a Telugu literary Award, Sri Krishna Murthy Sahitya Puraskaram in memory of his Father Sri Madupali Krishna Murthy. Each year a distinguished Telugu literary personality is being honoured with a cash of Rs.1,00,000/- and a citation.

1994 – KAVISAMRAT VISWANATHA SATYANARAYANA
 Kavisamrat Viswanatha Satyanarayana, who strode the Telugu literary scene like a colossus for over half a century was posthumously honoured in veneration and reverence.

1995 – Sri CHARLA GANAPATHI SASTRY
Sri Charla Ganapathi Sastri, a multi-faceted personality, literary giant, linguist and Gandhian – who has translated hundreds of Sanskrit works, Sruthis, Smrithis, Kavyas into Telugu in an effort at popularising great works of literature
was honoured.

1996-Smt.VUTUKURI LAKSHMIKANTHMMA
Smt.  Vututkuri Lakshmikanthamma, a towering personal-ity in Telugu literature and a social worker of repute was honoured posthumously.

1997- Dr. PULLELA SRI RAMACHANDRUDU
Dr. Pullela sri Ramachandrudu, Scholar and published several research articles, and a scholar in vyakarana, Vedanta and Alankara Sastras was honoured.

1998 - Sri. MALLAMPALLI SARABHESWARA SARMA
Sri. Mallampalli Sarabheswara Sarma, a literary giant, writer, commentator, critic and Sanskrit to Telugu was honoured.

1999 - Sri. GUNTURU SESHENDRA SARMA
Sri. Gunturu Seshendra Sarma one of the greatest poets of this century was honoured.

2000 - Sri. YELURIPATI ANANTA RAMAYYA
Sri. Yeluripati Ananta Ramayya one of the greatest Scholar in both Telugu & Sanskrit of this century was honoured.

2002 - Dr.DASARADHI RANGA CHARYA
Akshara Vachaspati, Dr. Dasaradhi Ranga Charya who made an invaluable Impression on the reader’s of 20th Century with his novels, essays, poems and biographies was honoured

2004 - Sri   SALAKA RAGHUNANDA SARMA
The award was given to Sri Salaka Raghunada Sarma, for his great contribution to Telugu and Sanskrit literature through his research works, commentaries and academic works.

2006 – Prof. KOVELA SAMPATHKUMARACHARYA
This year the award was given to Prof. Kovela Sampathkumaracharya for his great contribution to Telugu Literacy criticism, Poetry and works on Telugu literacy history.

2008 – Acharya . CHEKURI RAMA RAO
This Award for this year is being given to professor Chekuri Ramarao for his in depth studies in modern Telugu Language, analysis of different aspects of poetry, prosody and outstanding literary criticism.

2010 – Dr. MALATHI CHENDUR
This Award for this year is being given to Dr. MALATHI CHENDUR, a house hold name for Telugus anywhere in the world. She is more an institution than an individual. Thousands of Telugus all over the world are used to discuss their personal, social, political and other issues in Andhra Prabha Weekly for nearly 5 decades. Now the feature appears in Swathi Weekly.
